Asperitas is a clean-tech company focused on greening the datacentre industry by introducing Immersed Computing. Immersed Computing by Asperitas is a concept driven by sustainability, efficiency and flexibility. Using the most efficient model for operating IT, total liquid cooling, and going far beyond just technology. Immersed Computing includes an optimised way of work, highly effective deployment, flexible IT and drastic simplification of datacentre design. Offering great advantages on all levels of the datacentre value chain. Realising maximum results in Cloud, High Performance Computing and Edge.

Product

The Asperitas AIC24 is at the centre of Immersed Computing. It is a closed system and the first water-cooled oil-immersion system which relies on natural convection for circulation of the dielectric liquid. This results in a fully self-contained and plug and play modular system. The AIC24 needs far less infrastructure than any other liquid installation, saving energy and costs on all levels of datacentre operations.

The AIC24 is the most sustainable solution available for IT environments today. Ensuring the highest possible efficiency in availability, energy reduction and reuse, while increasing capacity. Greatly improving density, while saving energy at the same time.



Why we are ecofriendly

The datacentre industry is at the peak of its growth. New datacentres are continuously being built and the challenges for datacentres are growing as fast as the industry itself. This growth is accompanied by a high demand for high density datacentres and platforms. The main cause of the increasing demand is the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and a global move to cloud based computing.
THE INDUSTRY IS CONSUMING ABOUT 5% OF THE GLOBAL ENERGY SUPPLY and it is still growing. This has caused the focus to shift from high amounts of floor space with distributed IT environments, to high density and energy efficient centralised cloud environments. AIR BASED COOLING BECOMES AN EVER GROWING CHALLENGE with the increasing demand for these high density cloud environments.

In many situations, Immersed Computing can save more than 50% of the total energy footprint. By using immersion, 10-45% of IT energy is reduced due to the lack of fans, while other energy consumers like cooling installations can achieve upto 95% energy reduction.

In addition to these energy savings, the AIC24 generates savings on all levels of a datacentre enterprise, using less energy and leaving more budget to compute. Also we enable efficient heat reuse, our solution is able to develiver 24KW of energy in the form of warm water per system.

We are honored to have been shortlisted for an international award: Data Centre Solution award 2017. Asperitas and our first Immersed Computing solution the AIC24 are running within the special award category: Data Centre Facilities Innovation of the Year.

Immersed Computing has a great potential impact on datacentres facilities, by reducing floorspace, need for cooling facilities and reducing the energy footprint while maximizing IT capactity.
