Elevator Pitch

Worldwide, small and medium sized industries struggle to find energy efficient solutions to their industrial processes which require both power and heat. At Aurelia Turbines we manufacture the most efficient small gas turbines in the world; we believe we have the only economically feasible technology available to meet the needs of the small-scale process industry.

Our turbine technology is based on over 30 years of research & development by Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland. Aurelia has extensive material rights in the core technology and we continue to develop a portfolio of IP around the product and its application.

The strategy of the Aurelia team from the outset, has been to have a world class product with high reliability and high efficiency based on proven modular components. To achieve this, Aurelia will focus on the core turbine aspects and engage with leading industrial partners to ensure component scalability and ease of integration with Aurelia’s own technology in the most cost effective manner.

Aurelia sells its products through distributors who provide turn-key projects for their customers. The initial target markets are the industrial processes who need heat and power such as food production, dairies, breweries, furniture and building materials. Globally, these number in the hundreds of thousands.

To date Aurelia has been able to raise substantial interest from potential customers and has received letters of intent amounting to almost 100 M€ worth of deliveries. Actual Sales started in September 2016 and by the end of 2016 the Company had received orders in value of 1.6 M€ and has a current sales pipeline of over 20 M€.

Product

The A400 is a small gas turbine providing 400 kWe of power with an efficiency above 40%. The turbine has a wide range of applications including the possibility to provide efficient steam-CHP solutions for the SME industry which is otherwise not possible or viable with other forms of distributed generation.

Why we are ecofriendly

The turbine’s efficiency says it all; it consumes less fuel. The A400 is more efficient than any other technology in its size range. This enables the industrial customers to reduce their primary energy consumption as much as 40%. Furthermore, as a turbine, we have very low emissions on pollutants such as NOx but our exhaust is rich in O2 which widens our application; all this added with our fuel flexibility to burn renewable fuels underlines it all.
