Elevator Pitch

We are building the most energy- and cost-efficient distributed data center of the world. Thus, we provide the basis for future applications, such as 5G, Edge Cloud, Smart Home and Smart City. With a PUE value of 1.01, we offer a worldwide unique and green solution.

Product

By combining Cloud Computing with the classical heating market, we provide the most efficient and greenest technology, which saves threefold. We from Cloud&Heat use the generated waste heat of our servers to heat buildings and for warm water treatment. With our technology, customers can save heating, cooling, and facility costs. We are currently operating approx. 100 server racks all over Germany (e. g. in Dresden, Hamm, Münster, Berlin, Friedrichshafen, or Hamburg). Due to the distribution and the establishment of our data centers close to our customers, we are able to achieve low latencies for our cloud services. Low latencies influence the customer’s satisfaction significantly. In detail, with our products and services we are building up the first Edge Cloud infrastructure in Germany. This enables us to offer data access in real time to our customers and to achieve latency times under 1ms. This combines high customer usability and innovative data center infrastructure.


Why we are ecofriendly

Classical data centers need to spend additional energy to cool their servers and 90 % of the generated waste heat of data centers fall flat unused. The share of the worldwide electricity demand for data centers will increase from 3 % to 15 % within the next 10 years. This is a serious climate issue, which we take into account. By combining Cloud Computing with the classical heating market, we provide the most efficient and greenest technology, which saves threefold. We from Cloud&Heat use the generated waste heat of our servers to heat buildings and for warm water treatment. By making use of the waste heat with an innovative water cooling, we support the classical heating system. This saves heating costs. Furthermore, our data centers do not need additional cooling. This saves cooling costs. And by combining computing and heating power in one system, additional space can be foregone. This saves facility costs.

Customers, who are interested in high performance public cloud services, can use the highly efficient offer of Cloud&Heat IaaS, which connects the server cabinets spread all over Germany to a distributed network.
